New Ride For Women, Riders with Short Inseam

The big news for several years has been the influx of women riders discovering the sport of motorcycle riding. The manufacturers are getting the messge, loud and strong.

I have always liked Harley's Sportster line of motorcycles. Reasonable weight, particularly given the power, straight forward, simple bikes. They remind me of the bikes I started riding on, and many current riders of heavier Harley models started out on a Sportster.

For 2008, the 1200L is even lower, bars farther back.

No longer does a rider without long legs have to get the motorcycle lowered. This is not as easy as it sounds, because lowering by yourself affects handling, and the sidestand won't work correctly, unless it is also changed.

Now, all it takes is to go to the dealership, and pick out the color and accessories. Sweet.

Harley is always in touch with its riders, and it is great to see them welcome the many women who can now get a bike that fits for a safe and comfortable ride.
