Opposite Ends of the Motorcycle World

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I am really learning something about myself as I become familiar with the new Victory Vision and Triumph Speed Triple.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Victory is a cruiser touring bike, comfortable beyond expectation, great radio that I can't stop listening to, surprising composure once you get moving.&nbsp; A lifestyle associated with a giant segment of American riders, who tend to rally and gather together, as well as ride in groups.&nbsp; When I want to relax and ride, the Victory is the answer, even for commuting.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Speed Triple is a thrill to the senses, requiring even more focus and attention, and able to do what once seemed impossible, but easily and as if I expected it from the bike.&nbsp; Handling, stopping, and of course, going, are all so good they seem to be figments of my imagination.&nbsp; When you want the essence of why you ride, this is the bike.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Speed Triple is surprisingly comfortable for distances up to a few hundred miles.&nbsp; It is the fast way to get there, cutting through traffic easily, and accellerating quickly as a matter of course.&nbsp; It does everything so easily, you can think yourself through an entire afternoon.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I am getting used to handling the weight of the Vision, the ability of the Triumph.&nbsp; Each has its benefits.&nbsp; Very different personalities, I assure you.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So it is strange that so much of the riding experience is common to these two bike.&nbsp; Each is an open air feeling, a sense of freedom, and that sensation you only get when riding a motorcycle and leaning to make the bike turn.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This whole experience has really put me in touch with the fact that we are a community of riders, each different, with common threads among us.<br /> 10 application/xml false Cruiser Touring Motorcycle Speed Triple Victory Vision Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 mpadway 63.205.182.177 false true false false true 201650 false false true false false false true 106832 blog blogsite/MichaelPadway/web
