Victory Vision Safety Complaint

Issue with Lack of Side Stand Interlock

    I love my new Victory Vision (see happenings), but I was shocked and dismayed to find that, with all of the terrific electronic gadetry, Victory did not include a side stand interlock.

    I thought that the days of motorcyles that could be ridden away with the sidestand down were long gone. Apparently, I was wrong.

    This used to be a serious safety issue. If a rider pulls out with the sidestand down, the first left turn can result in a bad crash. There have been many accidents over the years, with many lawsuits and settlements. I wonder what Victory will respond with when someone is injured or killed becuase of the failure to take care of this inexpensive safety issue.

    I will follow up with the company on this oversight. The Victory Vision is otherwise such a wonderful motorcycle, that it seems a real shame for them to have missed this little item.
