Honda's new 1000 VFR will be revealed this week, with a V-5 technological tour de force that also sees paddle shifting like the exotic cars, under engine exhaust, brakes that work with ABS, and traction control (at least according to the leaks). It should be one fast motorcycle, with some of the safest brakes ever.
As a complete motorcycle junkie, I love this time of the year. Just as the riding season tapers off, there is something new to make things exciting.
The convergence of modern marketing techniques with new engineering capabilities means a brilliant future for motorcycles. Steve McQueen never had it this good.
