Riding In the Rain

Don't Like the Cold
As I left for work this morning, I felt a twinge because I took the cage.  I wanted to ride the bike, but it was simply too cold and too wet.

We all know that riding in the rain is just like any other time, although more care must be taken to riding smoothly.  In fact, this is a great time to improve your riding skills, because of the need for smooth riding.

Lots of motorcyclists in California just put on rain gear, and if you have the right stuff, even that change isn't usually necessary, as most Cordura or Kevlar will keep you dry for a half hour or so in reasonable amounts of rain.

I had to admit to myself the basic truth, that I am just too spoiled to bother dealing with the cold and wet.

It's a shame, because when I make the effort, I have found that you can have a really great time riding in the rain, and maybe even a little sense of accomplishment that might not be there in better conditions.
