| August 01, 2007 | | Love It or Hate It Styling and Great Touring Bike | Hold on to your hats, Victory has Harley's touring models dead in its sites.
Anyone riding to Sturgis this week can't help but notice how many of the bikes are Road Kings or Electra Glides. Victory noticed as well, and I understand that Arlen Ness personally will be riding the new Vision that is all the buzz.
I can tell you from the number of riders that are looking at this bike that it will be a substantial new player. Long time Harley riders seem to be accepting it quickly.
The wild styling distracts from features like linked brakes, great electronic center, heated grips and seats, electric fairing, and on and on. The touring model added trunk holds two full face extra large helmets. The bike even has outriggers to keep it from wrecking all that plastic in a parking lot tipover.
No real word yet on exactly what accessories are available, but press reports are that 60 items will be available immediately.
Always great to have additional players, particularly with acceptance in the American made segment of the market.
