On, Wisconsin.

Badger State Passes Motorcycle Friendly Legislation

The State of Wisconsin has just enacted legislation (thank you, American Motorcyclist Association) that is extremely user-friendly to motoryclists.

Henceforth, driver's education courses will include awareness training so that new driver's are taught to look for motorcycles.

Penalties are increased for right-of-way violations (oh, those left hand turners).

New riders will be able to take a motorcycle training foundation course as an alternative to taking the motorcycle riding test.

AND, BEST OF ALL, if a motorcycle sits at a light for 45 seconds without the automatic switch triggering a light change, they can proceed.  (Oh, joy).

Once again, if you haven't paid your dues to the AMA, this should remind you that the AMA lobbies, lobbies, lobbies, and they don't ask much in return other than for you to join.
