Sausalito Phtographer John Pettitt (www.cloudview.com for some great examples of his work) hipped me to Hood brand Kevlar Jeans, a UK brand. These jeans have a full Kevlar lining, and nice body armor available. Truth is, we all ride with less protection at some point in the heat cycle. I've always liked by Draggin Jeans, because, well, they're some of my better looking/working jeans. and the Kevlar is a plus. The Hood jeans are interesting, because they look pretty much just like regular jeans. With all of the Kevlar lined jeans, you need to be specific about fit. Some are less generous than regular jeans, some more, etc., and of course you may have to negotiate through different fits with relaxed and regular fit subcategories. Jean Jackets make a good ride in the heat, as well, although I have yet to try a kevlar or body armor version. If anyone has anything they are really happy with in this venue, I'd like to hear about it. |
